As telecommunications technology continues to improve, organizations are increasing their telecommuting workforce. The work environment continues to shift to a remote basis and accordingly our management skills and strategies must adjust to accommodate this new “virtual” work environment. This course will provide new insights on managing remote employees, a virtual workforce, and managing change and conflict in a telecommuting environment.

Participants will learn to:

• Recognize and determine the needs of remote personnel;
• Manage the needs of telecommuters and conflicts that arise in the telecommunicating environment;
• Determine and apply the correct procedure to increase productivity and expansion of team activities that are performed remotely; and
• Communicate with subordinates in a telecommuting environment.
